Tampa’s Amazing Richard Doby and the Legacy of Dobyville Join Fred Hearns, curator of Black history, at 3 p.m. on Oct. 22, as he shares the history of the Dobyville neighborhood. Dobyville is a little known African American neighborhood near Hyde Park in Tampa. Join historian Fred Hearns as he teaches us about the Richard Doby, the man it was named after, his history and the historic neighborhood of Dobyville. This free virtual program is part of the HCPLC’s Family Heritage Festival.
