HHSRC is a competitive co-ed high school rowing club that inspires excellence and cultivates a team culture of respect, personal commitment, shared achievements and passion for rowing. HHSRC is open to all HHS students and virtual/homeschool students grades 9-12 who reside in Hillsborough County, to develop their physical talents and competitive spirit while learning teamwork and having fun! The 100% voluntary Board of Directors serve diligently, meet monthly to drive success for the Club. Parent volunteers are needed and welcomed for important oversight including but not limited to practice, equipment maintenance, setting up for regattas, driving to out-of-town regattas and fundraising among others. With the drive and efforts of volunteers, our students will thrive in their abilities to compete in this sport. Notably, when a Rower joins the club, the Rower's family duly makes a commitment to the HHSRC as a whole, including volunteering.

JOIN THE TEAM

Hillsborough High School Rowing Club is a competitive team open to novice rowing for boys and girls interested in joining a dynamic crew driven by teamwork, self-discovery, resilience and the pursuit of personal progress.

The private club is managed by parent volunteers and paid qualified coaches. We accept team members from 9th grade through 12th grade. Due to rowing rules, we can only accept homeschoolers and students participating on FLVS and students from Hillsborough High School. Practice is on the following days:

Monday - 3:00 pm to 6:15 pm; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 4:00 pm to 6:15 pm; and Saturday morning - 7:30 am to 10:30 am.

Practice is a combination of water training and strength training. The team competes locally, statewide and out of state regattas.  The HHSRC Varsity Boys Team won Bronze at Nationals for the 2023-2024 season. The team accepts new rowers throughout the year.
