USF Free 9-Week Drumming Class (Children 8-12) as Part of Research Study

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of drumming training on cognitive performance and emotion regulation in children (8-12 years).
The USF School of Music in coordination with the USF School of Nursing is conducting research to examine the effects of a 9-week (once per week) drumming class on cognitive abilities and emotion regulation in children (8-12 years).
Classes take place on Wednesday afternoons (once per week).
Child Eligibility Criteria • Aged 8-12 • Right-Handed • No previous music experience necessary.
Timeline •
Pre-testing now until March 25th •
Drumming lessons March 25th – May 20th •
Post-testing March 26th – June 15th
All Participants will receive a $30 gift card upon study completion.
